写真集「insight」は、SHOTパリ在住の望月次朗が、30数年前カルカッタ、バナラシ、カトマンド、アフガニスタンへの"旅"の思考を初めてモノクロ写真に集大成したものです。

In sight
I didn't have a plan. Just enormous curiosity. I wanted to leave Japan, walk out into the world and have a look around. I was a student. At that time, in the early sixties, our contacts with the outside world were quite limited. It took me two and a half years to make the simple basic arrangements and finally set out. My only concrete idea was to go West, following the Silk Road.

I did go West・・・・
・・・・I went from place to place with no preconceived ideas, seeking and capturing images, in a state of heightened sensitivity. I found what I was looking for. In that long series of enduring instants, I held the world in sight.（序文から）

収録された写真は、デンマーク王立写真博物館、フランス国立図書館に永久コレクションされています。
